Welcome to your Group Tarot reading

Here’s what you need to know to make the most of each style of Group Tarot reading.

Group Reading Style:

I’m thrilled you have chosen this method of team building fun.

For those of you who are like “wall of text! Noooo!!!!” I’ll go over all this at your event.

General Structure:

  • Welcome everyone to the virtual (or IRL) room

  • Assign everyone a number (Zoom) or card (IRL). Attendees, or moderator, will rename to include this.

  • Check everyone's comfort levels muting/unmuting, hand raising, using the chat.

  • Breathing together

  • Gratitudes/Digital and literal land acknowledgement

  • My tarot philosophy/What to expect

  • 7 cards chosen at random by 7 randomly chosen attendees

  • 7 card Tarot reading that touches on Past/Present/Future and the path you are all on together - Note: if your group is smaller than 7 this number may be augmented. If your group 8 or 9 it also may be augmented. For groups 10 and above, 7 is the spread. There will be other chances  for your attendees to choose cards.

  • Questions/clarifications. Ask questions about the reading, about Tarot history/herstory/ourstory, share ideas that come up for you. Let’s have a conversation! This is also the place if folks did not get to choose a card for the initial reading may choose a card. I ask for exquisite listening, as well as take space/give space practices. The quiet ones deserve to be heard to! This portion is done both via unmuting and chat for online readings.

  • For groups in a 90 minute session, at this time there may be break-out groups or journaling, depending on the team needs and desires.

  • Take-aways and Gratitude

What if we get a scary card???

I talk about just this topic on the Istorya Podcast -

  • Quick Q&A before getting into the cards

  • Everyone in your group gets a short reading. You may ask a question - this is always helpful. You may ask to receive what the Universe, cards, or a different energy wants to share with you.

  • Everyone gets to witness each other’s readings. Listen in, what’s shared for one might resonate for you too!

  • The chat will be open. Feel free to use it, it’s the the virtual equivalent of chatting with your colleagues at the bar (coffee, alcohol, juice, milk, your choice!)

  • You are welcome to stay the whole time, or mingle in and out. We’re going for online or IRL party vibe.
